Age 78 of Jellico passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, at Baptist Health Corbin.  He was born June 15, 1947, in McCreary County, Kentucky.

     Robert is preceded in death by:

Wife: Willie (Bruce) Dople Hicks

Son: Kevin Hicks

Father: James Hobert Hicks

Mother: Elizabeth (Higonbotham) Hicks

     He is survived by:

Son: Bobby Ray Hicks

Brothers: Alvin Hicks & wife Marie, Carlos Hicks & wife Lisa

Sister: Linda Caldwell

Stepdaughters: Lisa Chapman & husband Jimmy, Sherry Busbee & husband Donald, Patty Dople

 A host of nieces, nephews, friends & family to mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends: 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Harp Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services at 8 p.m.

Officiating: Rev. David Chambers

The family will also receive friends: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2025, Pleasant Knob Baptist Church with funeral services @ 11 a.m.

Officiating: Rev. Daniel Perry & Rev. Johnny Goodman

Burial: to follow in the Pleasant Knob Cemetery (McCreary County, Kentucky)
