Christine (Davis) O'Rourke

Christine (Davis) O'Rourke of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the age of 85.  Christine was a dedicated homemaker, then decided to become a nurse later in life, graduating from Great Oaks with her LPN.  A lifelong caretaker of many, Christine always served her patients with dignity and true compassion. Christine was keen to share her love of cooking and gardening with anyone, including secret tips on how to properly grow a rose garden, or how to make the best fried apples. Christine had a passion and a gift for writing, crafting beautiful poetry or letters to very lucky recipients.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was always up for a game of Scrabble or Monopoly.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents Robert Lee Davis, Sr. and Alta Octavia (Anderson) Davis, husband James O'Rourke, brothers Van Howard Davis, Arnold Davis, and Robert Lee Davis, Jr. and sister Irene (Davis) Smith, Christine is survived by her brother Samuel Davis, children Lloyd Taylor, Charles (Pennie) Taylor, David Taylor, Brian Taylor, Chris (nee Taylor) DeYoung, and Sean O'Rourke, grandchildren Amber, Ashley, Alicia, Angela, Amanda, Olivia, Emily, Krista, Windy, Lee, Brittiny, Alex, Aaron, and James.

Several great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.

Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday April 19, 2023, in the Douglas Cemetery

Officiating: Rev. H. Lee Ray

Burial: to follow in the Douglas Cemetery (Wooldridge Community)
